Laser Hair Removal uses high-energy pulses of light to remove unwanted hair from the face, back, legs, bikini line and other areas without damaging nearby tissue. First, a cold gel is applied to the skin. Then the handpiece is moved back and forth across the selected area. The hair bulbs beneath the skin surface absorb the laser energy and are destroyed or diminished so the follicle eventually falls out. Patients can usually return to work and most regular activities immediately after the procedure. Hair loss begins immediately and is intended to be permanent with increased thinning with increased number of treatments.
